WILD HORSES SET FOR JULY:

The long awaited second album from LA Rockers WILD HORSES is now completed. It's not often that a band betters their debut effort but
everyone here at Z where struck silent (for a change) when the CD was played at our offices earlier this week.

The album title has yet to be decided, however Rick Steier [Kingdom Come, Warrant] took time out to give us a track by track run down of
the forthcoming release.

1) Can't Get By - Guy can't make it without his chick. Early "Who" sound.

2) What's This Thing Called Love? Confused guy with a "Van Halen/Motley" sound bed.

3) California Freedom - A fine line between freedom and slavery in the golden state.

4) Never Goin' Home - Life sucks back home, Keep me on the road. Up tempo thrasher.

5) Ridin' on - Free spirit on the open road. Early "Allman Bros" feel.

6) Rebel Road - Guy tells love story about holding on to youth and dreams in a "80's" power ballad.

7) Live it and Give - You got to live the life, to talk and sing about! Straight ahead heavy rocker.

8) When Will it End? - When you can never say no to a party. Heavy.

9) Asphalt Ribbon Fever - Taking aggression with you on the open road. Frenzied rock & roll

10) Vancouver Mover - Takin' it all in at the local strip club! Rock On!!

11) Cradle to the Grave - Story of those born with terminal diseases (aids,etc.) The only real serious track on the CD.

12) What's Love All About? - Guy in song 2 gets fucked again! Punky.

further news concerning the scheduled release in July will be posted soon

Modern rock act MADISON PAIGE are proud to announce that veteran producer/mixer John Hanlon (The Offspring, Pearl Jam, Night Ranger, Neil Young) will be mixing the Los Angeles-based quartet's highly anticipated debut album, Famous Last Words. "We feel privileged that someone of John's caliber and background is willing to take on the project," comments drummer Richie Rivera. "The man has a pair of golden ears and as a result the songs are leaving our expectations in the dust!"

Funded entirely by pre-orders from a die-hard following that spans the globe, the thirteen-song modern melodic hard rock opus seamlessly alternates between arena anthems and atmospheric epics, all bound together with thought-provoking lyrics that serve as both a condemnation and a celebration of the human condition.

"Fans of everything from Bon Jovi to Stone Temple Pilots to Dream Theater will find a lot to like on this album," chimes in guitarist Damon Valley, who, along with vocalist Paul Caroul and new bassist Will Arkosy, rounds out the band's lineup. Confirmed for inclusion are: "Bind," "Hold Me Over," "The One That Got Away," "Stay This Way," "Next To You," "Nothing Denied," "Any Day Now," (which received local airplay even in its demo form), "Fear And Storm Unite," "Breakin' My Heart," "Only She Knows," "Heaven In Hand," "When I'm Gone," and "Restrained."

XOCH
=====
Now And Then Records is very pleased to be able to announce that they have secured the rights to the critically acclaimed debut from the band Xoch, titled "The One".

XOCH, whose name means "the goddess of flower and song," is a focused and determined individual, whose life ambition is to impact the world at large with her professional attitude, strong work ethic, universal message, and her distinct sense of style. With a commanding stage presence, up-front and honest vocals, and a look that is bound to turn heads, this dynamic and powerful woman in her early 20's is a refreshing blend of humanity and divinity, part sexual, part mystery, with a unique outlook on life. "I like to stand out and be different than everyone else. I really enjoy being an individual. It takes a lot of inner strength and wisdom to just be yourself. I'm cool with who I am."

Equally adept at both the quiet, intimate setting of an acoustic show or a balls-out electric concert with her five piece rock band, XOCH thrives on live performance. She has shared stages with many successful national acts, from female rock innovator Pat Benatar, to modern rock sensations Lit.

Here is what the media has had to say about the album already -

""The Title Track, 'My Desire' and 'You' really should find Xoch on the same level as Avril Lavigne and Pink, she's that good - perhaps rather better vocally". Dave Reynolds.
CLASSIC ROCK Magazine

"The songs on The One range from uptempo Cheap Trick style rockers, to a less aggressive, but similarly styled Avril Lavigne type tracks, to simple feel good pop." Melodicrock.com

"Hyper cacthy modern pop that will put you in the mindset of Avril Lavigne and Pink. As much as I avoid female fronted rock, there are always exceptions...this is certainly one." KurtTorster.
SFK Newsletter

""Currently causing a stir ... is female artist XOCH, who could well be the next media darling a la Avril Lavigne. Xoch certainly has the potential to propel herself into the same spotlight". Rob Evans.
POWERPLAY Magazine.

A European release date for the product will be announced soon.

NEXX
=====
Nexx presented their first album, "Colours", to the press and media at a special show in Madrid`s Chesterfield Cafe, on May 13th. Expectations were high for this event, with many magazines and radio shows turning up to discover more about the band that is revolutioning the melodic rock scene in Spain. To name just a few, there were journalists from Kerrang, Heavy Rock, Fireworks, Los + Mejores or Basarock. Others that couldn't come but specifically asked for promos and showed a lot of interest about NEXX include Rolling Stone, MTV Spain, Metal Hammer and Radio 3. The band arranged dates for interviews in magazines and national radio programs, as well as in many local ones.

At the event itself, "Colours" was played thru the PA all night, and the band performed a short set consisting of 6 songs taken from the album and a couple of covers. The set list was: "A Good Time Comes", "After The Storm", "Remember", "One More Day", "Wake Up", "If You Could Read My Mind" (performed for the first time in a new Spanish language version!) and a very hard rock cover of Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach". The large crowd, especially for just a 30 minute concert, shouted for an encore (not scheduled for this kind of event) and eventually the band returned to performed one more song. It was a great night of melodic rock and everybody - band, fans and press went home very happy and looking eagerly forward the Spanish release of "Colours" next week.
