WorldWide Metal Inquisition

Various

This album is a compliation of songs by various metal bands - some I've heard of, others not.

Overall, it includes a very good mix of different metal types, from some of the heaviest stuff I've heard to some really mellow tracks. The mix of heavy to soft metal is just right as it keeps the listener waiting to see just what's around the corner.

I, personally, cannot listen through a whole Death Metal album without getting bored but this album was great as it was so varied it kept me interested the whole time.

Here is the track listing and a few notes on each one....

1 - Aurora Borealis - War Of The R

Typical speedy, thrash metal, with monotone singing from the very back of the throat

2 - Calamus - Piece Of Shit

Groovy guitar sounds, echo mikes, very 70's sound

3 - Click - Down Below

Fantastic drumming intro. Drumming is the loudest part of song. Not much flow to song

4 - Corruption - Only One

Deep grungy guitar sounds, Pantera style singing - Cool!

5 - Fig Leaf - On The Seventh Day

Very melodic, loads of synthesisers, singing is 'poptastic', reminds me of 'The Female of the Species'

6 - Fury - Fuck You

Nice lyrics, heavy guitar, strained singing - band member has serious grudge against ex-partner

7 - Gooseflesh - Suffer Age

Heavy guitars, singing not bad

8 - Horizon - Horizon

'Synthesizer Lovers Paradise', Goth singing

9 - Lambs - Right On Through You

Fast and furious - great sound!!

10 - Magic Wave - Dead & Gone

Reef or what?

11 - Meatlocker Seven - Reversal

Fast, heavy, fast, loud, did I mention fast?, singing? erm yes

12 - Mostly Harmless - Cancer

Quiet, loud, quiet, loud, quite, loud - coal Chamber like singing??

13 - Necromanicide - Descent Into H

Heavy, squeeky guitars, gravelly monotone singing

14 - Phantasia - Evensong

Different!!

15 - Polish - Pressure

A heavy version of Hanoi Rocks

16 - Tremor - Gentle River

Very high singing (not shreeked) quiet - mellow - zzzzz....
