VISIBLE TOUCH |
| So, I am sitting
here listening to the CD and I am thinking to myself, "Self, this
is pretty good, maybe even great. Who is this? VISIBLE TOUCH? My
god that sounds like a GENESIS song and that definitely doesn't fit
this bunch." As I continued to converse with myself I debated the merits of the music and, occasionally, asked myself why it is I should be talking to myself in the first place. At least I wasn't doing it out loud, or was I? No matter, I think I have it figured out, it's the music! There are only four songs here but that is just enough to give you the proper introduction to this young German quintet. Each song has just the right amount of bombast and finesse to leave you rocked without being rolled away. A bit progressive in spots, presumably to fully showcase the groups musical talents, but hard edged throughout. Their take on KISS's "Love Gun" is unique enough that you could almost put the original out of your mind entirely. Quite an exciting debut for sure. What I hope that this is, is the first glimpse of a full album. I think so, Self thinks so and my shrink will probably think so. You and yours will too. Still, I hate the name. "Shut up!" There I am again… Released by Meander Records. Review by David Lee. |
