Iago is Thorne's second solo release. Iago was produced, arranged and engineered by Thorne. The vocals were produced by Angela Parrish.
Iago was recorded at Angel Thorne Music, and mastered by Pete Moshay at A Pawling.

Thorne's first solo release was entitled 'America the Beautiful'.
Thorne, is the lead singer/keyboardist with Soundscape and Iago features all of the members of the Soundscape band.

Under the dark, eerie chill of a lunar eclipse in late October, Othello, captain of the Royal Army, has eloped with Desdemona, the beautiful daughter of a prominent senator, shortly after promoting Cassio to lieutenant.
Iago, friend and assistant to Othello, is consumed by anger and jealousy over the marriage and the promotion, considering himself much more worthy for both. Bent on revenge, he concocts a plan to bring them all down while remaining their seemingly loyal and trustworthy friend. In a pact with evil itself, he vows to possess them one by one, confusing their words and misconstruing their actions until ultimately Othello kills his wife and his lieutenant in a jealous rage.
Succumbing to madness, and eventually caught and convicted of his heinous crimes, Iago makes his last cofession from a lonely cell in the dungeon at the Queen's castle...

The Tracks are : 'Shapeshifter Man', 'I Am The Law', 'Desdemona', 'In The Night', 'Wine, Women and Song', 'Reputation', 'Rain, Rain.', 'Unravel My Love', 'Beggar's Can't Be Choosers', 'Willow', 'Murder', 'Lies'.

Iago starts with the track 'Shapeshifter Man', this is an excellent track starting with an acoustic section before Thorne's dominate keyboards takes over. Thorne's vocals are excellent as ever and there are some nice changes in direction.

'I Am The Law' features some great bass lines and is a great rock guitar track.

The third track is 'Desdemona', this starts fairly quietly with an acoustic guitar, then build to a great rock track with some great vocals, superb keyboards and guitar sections.

'In The Night', this is a good track with vocals by Angela.

Track Five is'Wine, women and Song' this is a good fast rock song with some nice changes in tempo.

'Reputation' is another good rock track.

'Rain, Rain'. This is a great track with vocals from Angela.

'Into Forever' a great track with some superb guitar. There are some nice changes in direction and tempo.

Track nine is 'Unravel My Love'. This is an excellent track with great keyboards from Thorne. The vocals from Angela are excellent too and there's also some great guitar.

'Beggars Can't Be Choosers', a great track with some great guitar and great keyboards.

'Evil' is another great track with great keyboards, guitar and vocals.

'Willow' is a nice quieter track with some great keyboards. Vocals handled superbly by Angela.

'Murder', has some excellent bass lines, superb guitar and great keyboards.

This is an excellent solo release from THORNE. In a way it's similar to Soundscape's sound, but its also quite different with Rob Jackson and Angela handling more of the vocals. There are some excellent tracks 'Shapeshifter Man', 'Desdemona', 'Into Forever', to name a few. Recommended to fans of Rock and Progressive Metal.
