This is The Clay People's fifth full length album. In the past their music incorporated attributes from genrews such as synthcore, metal, and gloom resulting in an innovative, but niche-styled sound. Rather than remaining in the narrow margin, they have now added a more organic, groove-orientated edge.
The album starts with 'Awake' an adrenalin filled metal track boasting some fine samples and riffs. Nice drum solo's too.

The next track 'Plug' is very dark and atmospheric hardcore surrounded by lots of shouting and overblown guitar. Great!!

The third track 'Mechanized Mind', again lots of brilliant samples introduce this piece, but maybe lacks the power boasted by some of the other tracks.

The next track is 'Calling Spaceship:Damien Grief', is a loud, complicated metal track bursting with echo-guitar backing and more top-notch samples.

'Car Bomb (am i human?)' kicks of with nice speed bass intro, then an explosion of guitars and vocals complimented by a solid head banging beat.

The sixth track is 'Fade Away', nice melodic guitar intro, followed by the vocals and percussion. Rather than fading away, this just seems to get louder and louder.

The next track is 'Raygun Girls', excellent opening guitar intro and vocals. Fantastic solo's and drumming. This track makes the whole album spring to life.

'Dying To Be You', nice drum intro sample.

The ninth track 'Thread' has a simple bass and percussion intro followed by the vocals and an eruption of guitar. Quite toned down compared to the rest of the album, but still quite powerful in places.

The next track is 'Ghostwishing' a quieter track and lets face it, most albums do have a quieter track. A ballad that is slow and sorrowful and just oozes class!!
A truly brilliant track and if you haven't heard it, your life ain't worth living!!!

The final track is 'Who Am I?' has a classy guitar solo intro, great backing, inspirational vocals. What more can i say?

The Clay People are a remarkable band and in my opinion are a band with a very bright future indeed. This is one album you will just be listening too again and again.
