"Punk Police / Suck On Sick On The Bus

Sick On The Bus

Drinks, drugs, sex… it's "Never Enough," got it?

Words to live by as proclaimed Sick On The Bus, a vulgar-laced, bruising and battering to the tenth degree… and we can up the total with each successive ounce we consume along the way!

These guys are fast, brash, and perfectly charming-in a juvenile and obscene sort of way.

A definite throwback to the fast-paced nastiness and instrumental beating glory days when the streets of London smoked long into the foggy night and everyone's favorite stick-swingers worked overtime to quell the generational disturbance that yielded to no authority as anarchy and its many archangels ran rampant on the dispelled youth that'd crumble righteousness to its fucking foundations.

"Punk Police" then, ironically titled and antithetical in nature, is English pub Punk Rock-a two fisted pounding that could illicit some serious damage when they weren't busy lifting and swilling.

Amidst the chaos and confusion, it's worthy to note the Reggae fashioning of "No Need For That," the first and we'll assume one of the few clear moments, where you're afforded three minutes worth of relaxation before the bombast returns full volume-and wake up, it's "Party Time," so on yer feet and out the window!

First tune rags on about "Killing Yourself" and some devilish laughing going on in the background-very tasteless and ill mannered to be sure.

Then again whaddya expect from a band that calls themselves Sick On The Bus… and considering the multitude of monikers floating around all these years, the fact they're still inventive enough to come up with something like that's deserving of accolades.

So is their next tune "Loser," which continues with the same battering riff from the opening tune-basically the same song with better lyrics!

These guys are pure modern day Pistols by any definition you wanna produce-Dead Boys, GBH, Damned-they're them all and they're lewd and loud, street-Punk with a fucked up edge and plenty o' dark humor to go round.

No surprise these guys are English-can tell 'em right off, they just got that distinguishable guile not to mention gall to go with about a gallon of piss and vinegar.

The packaging is first rate-they got this two disc set here and the cover booklet serves to identify each one of 'em depending on which side it's facing… or you're facing which could well be straight down after a few more rounds of this!

"You Make Me Sick" and "Ugly" are two back to back rousers with the latter getting my vote for chorus of the year-"It's a pity you're not pretty, it's a pity, you're so ugly…" and so on and so forth, spewing their mass chunks of protest, disgust, disdain and whatever the Hell else you can fit into a mind soaked to shit with venom and vodka… but they're a real kick to the britches of a Punk gone soft, indeed they are, the throwbacks of a lost generation-in fact they could even be a lost generation as far as I can tell these tunes are at least a few years old-they ain't that old but they sound it, and it's a good thing…

And here's an extra little tidbit-Sick On The Bus features Biff from The Varukers and Chaos U.K. and this double album is an actual reissue of their first two records… so suck on that, ya fuckin' tosser.
