The Fall - confusion (1:17) The opening track 'The Fall - gate of God ' is an excellent track which starts with a slow heavy guitar riff, there is a lot of percussion going on in the background and this track is just full of atmosphere, (I could listen to this all day). The track fades out at the end. The next track 'Auriga Virtutum ' then fades in with an acoustic guitar, again there is a lot of excellent percussion going on and the words are narrated. Track three is 'Sartre Chronicles #6:La Nausée ' is quite dark and at time unsettling and creepy. The next track 'Penance 9/93' starts with a heavy riff, there's an acoustic guitar playing, great vocals from Matt, there's also a nice melody. There's also some narration and some excellent backing vocals. 'V-gi-li-si' (Cherokee phonetic pronounced "Uh-ghee-lee-see". You will find it printed in original Cherokee script), is a difficult track to describe, there's an great beat going on in the background. Occassionally you hear some King Crimson type guitars coming in. again the words are narrated. Track six is 'Cedar, Cross and Eagle Wing', which starts with some excellent drummming and percussion before a heavy guitar riff come in , again excellent vocals from Matt. This track reminds me a little of King's X. Again some narration. The next track is 'III - Unclean', another track that is dark, unsettling and at times a little bit creepy. 'White Trash / Coffee Black', another track that starts with some excellent drummming and percussion. excellent guitar. words are narrated. Track nine is 'D.A.V.G.', is another ambient type of track with narration. The next track is 'Somme, France 1916', which starts with some excellent percussion, again the words are narrated followed by some great keyboards and superb guitar. This track reminds me a little of a band called Wire. And the final track 'The Fall - confusion', a short track similar to track one. An excellent album containing song's that range from progressive to spoken to ambient to tribal. Most of the album is about war, religion and spiritual beliefs and an album that is full of emotion. The tracks are well thought out, showing that Sax Myle are artistic and creative in their songwriting and have produced a dark and moving and original CD.
