Saga De Ragnar Lodbrock's eponymous album was originally released in 1979.

Now 20 years later, Musea has re-released the entire album through their label together with 7 tracks from the Francois Proust pieces of music composed for the theatre.

It's very hard to describe the music of Saga De Ragnar Lockbrock. They're reminiscent to Gryphon and sometimes even a little bit like the Italian band I Giganti.

The dramatic medieval Viking music is mostly played on old instruments with French narrations, spoken and sung vocals, big choirs and orchestral arrangements.

This is definitely not music for the masses, and it may not appeal to a bigger audience, but I like it. This is a recommended French 70's classic.
