Wait for the Lightning

Relentless

Real metal rears its ugly head, in Relentless fashion, on this brand new four song strike that takes full aim straight to the heart of dissonance and dissatisfaction-"Wait for the Lightning" no longer, it has arrived!

And the end result is a pounding metal storm reminiscent of the glory days when bands like the original Satanochists Slayer, "reigned" supreme. when the mighty Metallica once "rode" the lightning to heights unseen. When the pounding fury of Exciter broke down the walls and unleashed a brand of "Violence and Force" upon the world that had no equal.

Relentless upholds the quality and integrity of our original leather clad metal heroes, waving the Jolly Roger proudly in the face of fashion, opting for tradition over trend.

The band that first showed so much promise on a recent one and a half song demo a while back, delivers their new four song EP, respectably produced, and again featuring the electrifying title track which alone tells the story of who Relentless is and what they were created for!

"Storm the Gates" as the opening passage tears a page right out of the past, with a metal thrashing surge and fist thrusting chorus that stands up for metal maniacs the world over, we shall rise again!

It's refreshing to actually hear a young band pick replicate the tried and true formula that heralded a once lost generation to a movement that continues to keep getting stronger.

A power trio in every sense, Relentless' new material could well have been lying dormant since 1984 and no one would know the difference!

"Dressed to Possess" and the completed version of "Nightwing" are pure skull and bones riff and rhythm that settle nicely between the oncoming storm and lightning, changing the pace slightly, but barely less driven.

On this new EP, Relentless come through as just that. it's a win or be damned attitude flanked proudly in denim, leather and spikes. somehow I knew that old Raven album title had a place in here somewhere so, it's true!

Nothing exceeds like excess!

Wake up to a burning building, crash through the lies, raise your fists and feel the power- "We're here to fucking rock!"

Now let's pair 'em up with something like this new Ironfire thing, take to the streets and really do some damage!
