Not Dead YetRaise Hell |

Okay so I think what we're getting at here with the title is that it doesn't apply to this band of teenagers just now getting their start-at least I would certainly hope not-but rather to the style of music their playing… which I'll go on record as saying is as daring, fresh and exciting as anything I've heard in a while! Sure I've heard great bands doing great music as recently as…ten minutes ago. Great cover image too… the first time I looked at it I kept trying to see where Lizzy was hiding out with his ax! But by the looks of her, she ain't dead either… but I wouldn't want to be the recipient of the dark thoughts she's got reflecting back through that mirror she's looking into… But here we've got a song like "Dance with the Devil" and like a hungry scavenger it picks the bones clean from the likes of death, grind, thrash, traditional… doesn't leave even a trace of anything left to scrape off. Nice vocal effect during the chorus… Now what's this, "Light my Fire?" Is this… the tune's called "Babes" and everything about the song reminds me of something else. Particularly where the rhythm guitar's concerned, we're looking at an abundance of traditional metal structured within the ranks of modern day aggression-and shit, they're clipping the wings off the classic Doors hit-"Come on baby take me higher…" What? Oh yeah, I guess we got past all that crap! For a teenage band-I mean, how old are these guys anyway? It's like listening to your early day favorites who were present at the dawn of Heavy Metal, reincarnated or something! This is raw power in its finest form played by a relatively young and multi-talented band that really has no business doing this! Looks like Hellraising's got a bright future in the fast approaching new age of heavy metal… Released by Nuclear
