The Lifting A Sojouner's Journey is a traditional guitar based metal album with the emphasis being on the word Guitar. P. J. Bussey plays five tracks in the mould of Satriani / Via and in my humble opinion goes to prove once more that you don't need a multi-million pound backing of a major label to make good music. This is an excellent tape and lovers of the above mentioned should add it to their collection as soon as possible. P.J. Bussey's guitar work is highlighted by intense technique, great riffs and phrasing with the outstanding tracks for me would have to be 'Eagle Bay' and the guitar frenzied 'The Lifting' Highly Recommended!!!
