ODK are a progressive rock band from Atlanta. US. and they have taken a broad step in my mind for instead of releasing the standard metal/hardcore album that we seem to have an abundance of as one would expect, they have released a very melodic progrock album entitled Miranda.

The Quality of musicianship on show is excellent and the vocals are perfect for this type of music. ODK are mainly an electronic keyboard band, similar in a way to Depeche Mode, but with a much darker feel to it. Much of this album has a Middle Eastern feel to it.

Miranda is an excellent CD and one I will be playing a lot. However, I feel it's one of those albums you need to be in the right frame of mind to listen too, mainly because the pace is quite slow.

Personally I would have liked to have seen a bit more pace on a few tracks, just to give it that bit extra, but I am not taking anything away from Miranda. It's still an excellent piece of music.
ODK have been working on a soundtrack to a fim called " In The Flesh" and the film company Capetown Films is in search of both US and European Distribution. The film maker has strong business ties to Germany and it might be released there first.

ODK are currently working on the follow up CD to "Miranda" and the current estimate is November of 1998.
