You have to give this band credit for originality when they picked a name for themseles, but does the album deserve recognition?

Actually it does!!!
The music can easily be described as contemporary rock for the masses, because it would appeal to quite a wide audience.

The first track is 'Pathetic', (far from the truth). An instant hit that is quite addictive after a while. It's not exactly original, but it's good.

The next track is 'Asleep' and is one of my favourites. It kicks off with a nice guitar riff that continues throughout the piece. The vocals are great and there are some nice FX thrown in.

The third track is 'Ex' and in my opinion is not quite as good as the previous two tracks, I'm not quite sure what it is,it just seems to lack that special ingredient to make it appealing.

The next track 'Sorry' though puts the album back on track. The chorus is powerful and catchy and stands out as a highlight of this CD.

'Free Cheeseburger' is a song for everyone. It has a very universal theme and has a hidden brilliance that takes time to appreciate. This one is definately worth several listens.

The sixth track 'Underwear' like 'Ex' unfortunately is another lacklustre song. It doesn't really have any direction and boasts no new ideas that aren't heard in other songs.

The next track 'Third Wheel' is a very enjoyable experience for me. It starts with a nice chord sequence (played on acoustic guitar) accompanied by some fine vocals. The chorus is very pleasant and after about 2 1/2 minutes it starts to ROCK!

'Blair' is my favourite track on the album because it's so different to the rest of the songs on the CD. It is the most original and contains some great instrumental sections.

Track nine 'A.D.D. Playground' is a moody rock number that creates a very apprehensive feeling throughout. I kept getting the feeling that it could explode at any moment, but it didn't. A bit of a disappointment.

The next track 'Nothing At All' starts sounding like a typical Radiohead song, but soon changes to a more familier rock scenario. Again, this is also a good track with reat vocals and instrumental talent.

'Matter' is definately one for fans of Placebo as it sounds just like one of theirs. (apart from some of the mellowed sections).

'Weather Boy' is the final track and is a little disappointing. I would have thought that they would have had something better to finish the album with, but it is extremely average. The only part that shows any promise is the bridge, but it is let down by a plain chorus.

Overall, this is a very good album, let down by one or two tracks. But , don't forget that is my opinion.
