Should My Fist EyeNeck |

I honestly can't believe it. Just two minutes into "StingmaskII" and I think we've discovered a new musical style, crossbred of progressive/hard-core… so that gives us what, Pro-Core? The title's a real twist-"Should My Fist Eye," as in should my fist eye, what? Put my fist in your eye? Interesting noises take place at the start of "Patterns," song two, and it's here we really get a "fistful" of the full range of motion on this adventurous creation. Neck holds the honor of being Cho' Sin Records first new signing… and here's to hoping they're not going to draw the same angry reaction from the powers that be that are quickly causing my face to turn red as I endure the sharp biting pain that's shooting through my temples! "Should My Fist Eye" unassumingly molds and modifies its own audible shape with each passing moment as we've now moved onto "Crawl Away" and I'm wondering if this is the same group here! There's a lot of aggressive-progression here… chameleon-like instrumental movements that reassess and redefine each substructure within the songs, all effectively blurred by throat-searing strains that time and again double for singing. Aggro-rock tendencies are quickly consumed and passed through by the time "Fuck It" forces its way on the speakers, and they have the uncanny ability to throw you into a minute-long convulsive spasm, then lull you to serenity all within the same sequence-truly amazing… not to mention odd! With Neck being the keyword here, proceed with caution and consume in small doses, lest the extreme whiplash effect will place your listening pastime permanently on the sidelines.
