Nadir's music inspires a release from everyday shit. Intense & emotional, it grabs the listeners attention, inviting them to immerse themselves in the energy and power created by these three young musicians who are NADIR.

Their music is described as powerful, intense, emotionally charged, heavy rock. taking in influences from as many different sources as possible, from music to the media, through to personal & social issues, they continue to further their writing skills, and in an industry where lots of heavier bands are either staying with their own tired sound, or getting softer, NADIR's style keeps expanding.

"At the moment our music is getting more powerful, it has more extremities to it, more highs and lows, more emotion and a shit load more energy" Says Rob Lambert, Guitarist/Vocalist for NADIR.

The band already have 2 independent releases behind them, including the full-length album "Rust" and the more recent EP "With Fury". They have toured New Zealand four times and Australia once, including support slots for the Melvins & the Deftones, as well as a spot on the main-stage of the recent Warped Tour. Nadir now have a huge following throughout New Zealand and a fast-building fan base in Australia.

Nadir are a band from New Zealand that play many different styles of metal. The sound at times could be compared with the likes of Metallica, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains and many more.

The opening track is 'Ignorant' with it's heavy crunching guitars, very strong tight rhythm section and a good strong track to start off with.

'Nobody', has distorted vocals, distorted guitar work and quite a catchy chorus.

'Why Me?', there'some nice dual guitar work on this track and multi vocal parts, although some of the vocals are more of a scream, rather than sung.

'I4NI', starts off with some powerful riffs with various changes in tempo throughout the track, the vocals once again are distorted on this track, but this just add angst to the overall feeling.

'Learn', has a lovely guitar sound, hard to describe, but for me has a ''Celtic'' feel, there's also some military style drumming and some nice changes in direction, mood and tempo.

'Killer of all Things' is angst ridden in it's delivery and combined with the edgy guitar sound.

'Icon', has some fine guitar work and good strong vocals.

'Rust', the title track starts off with acoustic guitar with some atmospheric sounds going on in the background and then a distorted guitar come in.

An excellent debut album from this New Zealand band. Fine musicianship, good songwriting and a band who play with a passion. Rust is released as a digipack with some fine artwork and also comes with an 8 page full colour booklet, and considering tha band have had to finance the whole thing themselves, for me it shows a band who are looking to make an impact and they certainly have.
Highly Recommended!!!
