"Provisions, Fiction and Gear"

Moth

"I See Sound…" I "feel" sound… here you got a major label breakthrough playin' with Indie-Rock urgency and sincerity, on their third overall, criss-crossing the wires between Power Pop, Folksy AOR, and Grunge with uplifting vocal harmonies, choral crescendos and drum crashing intensity.

"Thinking Please" is a well thought out and thorough work that has you as a listener looking left and right and anywhere but straight in front of you-a sign of things to come so beware; The hum and flutter of "Hearing Things" turns on the child-like charm in a manner that's both lucid and linguistically London-esque; "Last Night's Dream"
and "Leftovers" are prime choice Fugazi/Replacements Pop fizzle and fusion, while "Lovers Quarrel" is pure emotionality bent on a U2-like multiplicity that sheds a tear and turns the knob; nearly every song is worth documenting here, in spite of their drearier late-night start ups, the tunes are settled and unsettling in distanced three minute increments, subtle and savage, and something to attend to when the aural dust settles.

So stay on your toes for this new one. "Provisions…" is a work of progressive unrestraint that randomly repositions listener thought patterns, carefully and unconditionally.
