LOST SOULS |

In a genre that is fast becoming as predictable and as stale as goth metal and black metal, industrial metal now brings forth it's latest Fear Factory wanna-be: Sweden's Lost Souls. Loaded with head-slamming-on-concrete guitar riffs and bile and grrr-filled hate-spew vocals, bellowed in vague and nonsensical sentence fragments, of course ("Confusing this fracture amusing," "Static weak secrecy from innerreserves single and cold"), going from clean to distorted vocals and back and forth again, plus endless tirades and rants about "the stinking truth" (what, that Lost Souls blow?), "I am the filth," "fading consciousness," "I feel nothing at all," etc, Lost Souls are a really C-grade industrial metal band. Musically, they sounds OK, but honestly, really, who needs this? Released on Nuclear Blast, Hauptstrasse 109. 73 072, Donzdorf.
