Lions share are a Metal band from Sweden : Lars Chriss on Guitars, Andy Engberg on Vocals, Kay Backlund on Keyboards, Johan Koleberg on Drums and Pontus Egberg on Bass. (bass played on this CD by Andy Loos).

The tracks are : 'Sins Of A Father', 'Scarecrow', 'Arabia', 'Play By tHe Rules', 'Judgement Day', 'Haunted', ' Just In Time To Be Too Late' and 'Searching For Answers'

Lion's Share are a heavy metal band who have introduced some complexity, melodic keyboards into their music. The opening track 'Sins Of A Father' is a great track. Andy has what I would call a great rock voice. There are some nice changes in direction and tempo within the track and some great guitar.

'Scarecrow' is a good track with some nice changes in direction, great guitar solo.

The third track 'Arabia' is a great track. The vocals are excellent. There are some nice keyboards and nice changes in direction and tempo.

Next is 'Play By The Rules' which has a great guitar solo. It is a good track with some nice changes in direction and tempo.

'Judgement Day' is a good track with some nice guitar.

Track six is 'Haunted' this is an excellent track. My favourite from the album. There are some nice changes in direction and tempo. there's also an excellent guitar solo.

'Just In Time To be Too Late' another excellent track with some nice keyboards and great guitar.

And the last track is 'Searching For Answers' a great track, great vocals and excellent guitar.

Lions Share's debut album is a very good album. They have a very good sound and a great vocalist.

My only criticism would be that even though the timing on the album does change slightly, it doesn't come over enough and a lot of the songs sound at the same speed and it could have done with a few faster songs.

LIONS SHARE

Lions Share are a Progressive metal band from Sweden : Lars Chriss on Guitars, Andy Engberg on Vocals, Kay Backlund on Keyboards, Johan Koleberg on Drums and Pontus Egberg on Bass.

The tracks are : 'Wild At Heart', 'Lord Of The Pain', 'Transient', 'Don't Come Easy', 'Shadows', 'Baptism Of Fire', 'Flash In The Night', 'World Gone Wrong', 'Rat Race'.

On this CD Lions Share have changed direction slightly and instead of being a metal band are heading towards being a pregressive metal band.
The opening track entitled 'Wild At Heart', is an excellent track with great vocals, There are some nice changes in direction and tempo with some nice keyboards.

Next is 'Lord Of The Pain', which is a great track with nice changes in direction.

The third track 'Transient', another excellent track with nice changes in direction and tempo. There's an excellent guitar solo and some very nice keyboards.

'Don't Come Easy', is more of a love song and it's more commercial than any of the other tracks. However, it's still a very nice track and should have promoted Lion's Share to a wider audience.

Track five is 'Shadows', a good track with some nice changes in mood, direction and tempo and has a great guitar solo.

Next is 'Baptism Of Fire', an excellent track an an epic at nearly nine minutes long. There are some nice keyboards, nice changes in mood and direction and some excellent guitar.

'Flash In The Night', is a good track with some nice guitar.

'World Gone Wrong', is an excellent track with some nice changes in direction and some great guitar.

The last track is 'Rat Race', which is a very good instrumental centred around Kay's keyboards.

This is an extremely good album. There are some excellent tracks on this album and quite a bit more variation over their previous release. Again we have great vocals from Anders who must be one of the best vocalists in the progressive metal scene.
