Lacuna Coil's sound can be described as melancholic,dark rock
engulfed in narcotic melody, with progressive hints and beautiful
ethereal female vocals.
The Tracks on this mini CD are : 'No Need To Explain', 'The Secret',
'This Is My dream', 'Soul Into Hades', 'Falling', 'Un Fantasma Tra
Noi (A Ghost Between us)'
The opening track is 'No Need To Explain', an excellent track,
the vocals are superb with a nice combination between the male and
female vocals. The music is dark and heavy.
Next is 'The Secret', another excellent track, this track has
a good melody, again the vocals are superb. There are some nice changes
in direction, mood and tempo.
Track three is 'This Is My Dream', starting with a just a bass
guitar followed by electric guitar. This is a great track, great vocals,
great guitar, quite a slow beat to this track, but again it has a
very strong melody
'Soul Into Hades', starts off quite heavy, but the mood changes
quite often. There's a short spanish guitar scetion in the middle.
again the vocals are superb.
'Falling', starts with an acoustic guitar, then Cristina come
in with her ethereal vocals. The quietest track on the album.
'Un Fantasma Tra Noi (A Ghost Between us)', starts with some
heavy guitar, some very nice guitar and piano/keyboards before going
into a great guitar solo. A superb Instrumental.
This is a superb E.P. from Lacuna Coil. The music and vocals
are great. This comes highly recommended.
