"Khanate"

Khanate

To think that only moments in to the first song… er, static leak, I was
beginning to get irritated… and then the "music" starts!

NYC locals bring together a number of doom influences notably Burning Witch and
five songs of suffering and sadness in the finest St. Vitus twisted tradition.

And while nothing is clearly presented I'm beginning to see why no words were included in the cover booklet-nothing, not even close, though I'm having a tough enough time deciphering the gaseous elements floating around the center spread…

But words, a key element to most, take on new significance and in fact I think they've invented an whole new language that lies somewhere between Latin and Devil-speak…

Khanate's definitely an acquired taste that fans of Hard-Core Black and Doom will identify with and that's a truly scary thought from where I sit. So sit down and gather round the fire and let the slow torture consume every last fiber of your being as you prepare to meet your maker.
