From New Jersey comes a man called John Taglieri who writes music that is just as good as any Bon Jovi album, or sometimes even better. His music as well as his voice is a mix between Bon Jovi, Richard Marx, Bruce Springsteen and Survivor.

On this, his debut album, John is doing the main part of the instrumental and vocal performances. It's unbelievable that a privately released album has such good compositions, production and performance.

This could easily be a release from a major record company.

The highlights are the opening "Leap Of Faith", "Shangri-La", "First Night", "I Found You", the up-tempo "High Road" and the closing ballad "Here Without You".

Unfortunately the music industry is so weird that you often need to be good-looking like Bon Jovi or Richard Marx to succeed. Almost every track on this album would fit perfectly on a Bon Jovi album, but I hope that John Taglieri will get recognition to a wider audience in his own rights, because he's definitely worth it.

This is a strong debut album and one of the best AOR releases this year. Recommended!

The album was released in 1999 in the US and worldwide on July 17th, 2000 through the UK label A2 Records.
