Highest Beauty In Thy Dreams |
|
Funny what a difference a pronoun makes Take the "Thy"
out of "In Thy Dreams," replace it with "My"
and suddenly you've got a whole different perspective on this-speculative
of course, but "Thy" tells me right off Their immediacy hits you head on, blowing away all potential perceptions of Gothic, Beauty or otherwise Romance novel etiquette. Rather their rhythmic blasts pound with a furious intent, high speed, double-bass proficient and twin-tone melodic elegance that first off inspires parallel to like-minded greats from way up North as the former At The Gates, Amon Amarth, or Enthroned. Much like the three page insert reveals, In Thy Dreams displays a full share of dark matter, fast, fluid, and usually shiftless structured Death style delivered at lightning speed by way of quick riffs, chord changes, piercing growls and insidious descent of lyrical despair that effectively gets the point across but can at times be laborious to listen to.
