Emerging from the earth from the ashes Ned's Atomic Dustbin left
behind, Groundswell makes an immediate impact with their five-song
prelude, "Corrode". Opting for only enough time as necessary to prevent such a calamity in terms of a musical sense, Groundswell is born-the product of a new directive of Jonn Penney, who "sings"-and has taken a turn into a more focused direction that does well to adapt itself to the modern era-playfully sly though engrossing a maturity that lends itself to stirring emotionalism. Dual instances lead and leave off here in the form of "Corrode" in its raw form and polished radio edit and regardless is of an edgy texture, significantly "hard" alternative, as is the succinct "You Think" before yielding to the pop-friendly leanings of "Second Hand", and "Find Out Why".
