Fever Tree were a legendary Houston psyche band that was formed in the 60's.

They split up in 1971 after five years of touring and several albums. In 1978 they decided to reunite to play the material they always wanted to do.

This CD is a live recording from Louisiana 1978, from the band's final gig at the Smith Brother's Whiskey Still in Lake Charles.

The live recording is very good and it shows a talented band that is mixing rock with blues, funk, jazz and progressive rock, with reminiscences to B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Albert King and Albert Lee.

Besides the own compositions there's also a cover of Al Jarreau's "Spirit".

I praise Shroom Productions for all their magnificent releases so this old music can reach a new audience.
