Let's be honest. Now if you where asked to list your top ten Progmetal albums of all time then the classic Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche would lie there somewhere, right?. Yes (well at least I 'd hope so) and if you are like me, do you often wish that somebody somewhere would come up with something just as good or God forbid even better, you know the type of concept album that rights up to date rather than stuck firmly in the past.

Well, I am pleased to announce the wait is over. Eternity X have provided nothing short of a masterpiece in The Edge. This really is the finest example of Progmetal that I have heard in years, putting the likes of Dream Theater and Savatage well and truly in the shade.

The Edge contains music from all spectrums from rock to pop, from classical to opera, from jazz to ballads, all played to a standard that's second to none.

Now at this stage, I could go on about the highlights of this CD and why you should buy it. Well in this case, I'm not going to because the whole CD is a 90's Progmetal masterpiece and in my opinion should be added to your collection right now. And if you haven't got the money, well sell your brother, sister, anything, just go out and get this album right now. The Edge has been recorded in Full-Blown digital and the quality is superb!!

And if i had to choose my favourite track it would have to be the serious power rock ballad 'A Day In Verse', because it sums up in one wonderful music filled 7:58 mins what this style of music is all about and why you should buy this CD.

The Edge is certainly the album of the moment, It's what repeat buttons on your CD player were made for. Now will you please go out and buy this CD, so that I can go once more and go well and truly over The Edge.
