Age of Innocence

Emerald Rain

The opening track, "No Saviour" has a guitar riff that's a drop-dead likeness to Loudness' "Soldier of Fortune." which automatically means it's a killer song!

Not quite as much punch, in fact a subtle blow by comparison but they've got their melodic flow distributed in all the right places here.

"Age of Innocence," is Emerald Rain's follow up to their critically acclaimed "Broken Saviors" LP that hit the shelves a couple years ago.

The Canadian quartet emerged from the "painful" surroundings of their past to become Emerald Rain and judging by the solid work on this delightfully tuneful release, better days definitely lie ahead for their current practice.

In fact, practicing does not appear to be one of their weak points-the unit has constructed some highly addictive hard rock, ground within the foundation of those more musically inclined pop oriented bands-consider the likes of Dokken, Ten.

How about Xenon-a band who for even one album established some pretty impressive credentials in the AOR field. Emerald Rain makes nice use of open ended and minor guitar chords, thick and precise backing vocals and unified harmonies within a mild production that puts a classy touch on these twelve steamy new tracks.
