An Initially mellow album, this one and the one track that is the epitome of this statement is track one "Mouth Like An Open Wound" with its dreamy Latino sounding guitars and softly spoken, even whispering lyrics at times, makes for an easy entry into the album.

The next track, soon picks up pace, as the cover artwork would suggest of this album having a high tempo. We have now moved into full on double bass drumming, as well as some quick snare and cymbal work. We have also progressed from soft vocals to a barrage of growled lyrics.

Overall Dominium are another European band, who are trying to fit the mould of both Death Metal and Progressive Rock, and they do carry this off very well.

There are elements on this album which are a little similar to other albums in the same genre, but they do seem to have found a perfect balance between the two extremities, enabling them to be described as melodic metal.

For me the standout track is "Family Fun" as the opening section of music could have made a film score, it's that impressive, this then gives way to the bass drums and inaudible growling, which is what gives this album, unique character and feel.
