Einstein Was A Bullfighter
DOC TAHRI

This is a very exciting CD containing Bret Helm (former bassist of Public Image LTD), Jennifer Batten (guitarist for Michael Jackson on his "Bad" & "Dangerous" tours), and drummer Monte McConnell.

The music is a crossover between Frank Zappa, Primus, Talking Heads, Adrian Belew and Steve Vai. Isn't that an exciting mix or what? Funky progressive music with a lot of humor, twisted turns, great musicianship and originality.

It's like those incredible musicians had met in a musical kindergarten, with open minds of five-year-old kids but the musical skills of a whole lifetime. And all of a sudden a nutcase with a brain like Jim Carrey's, steps in and says, "Let's make music". I don't know any other way to describe this freaked out music.

Bret Helm has got a very funky and groovy way of playing, and Jennifer Batten is simply the best female guitar player around. Bret's singing reminds of a mix between David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Les Claypool (Primus), while Jennifer Batten has got a lot of Steve Vai in her playing.

The best tracks are "Arrest This", "Desperate Moments", "Birth Of A Concept", "Brain Dead Endorsee", "Coffee Saved My Marriage" and "There Was A Time".

You better buy this album, and get a glimpse of total insanity packed in a CD case.
