The savage mutilation of the human race is set on course, Protest and Survive, Protest and Survive. It's up to us to change that course, Protest and Survive, Protest and Survive...

And change it they did. Discharge are/were probably the best punk band ever.

Some would disagree and say the likes of The Sex Pistols & The Dead Kennedy's would piss all over this lot, but there was an edge to Discharge. Discharge had some of the most savage riffs going at the time, and their songs reflected some of that savagery.

With song titles like 'War's No Fairytale', 'Decontrol', Massacre Of Innocents' and the might 'Protest and Survive', Discharge showed they meant business.

Having gone through multiple lineup changes they still managed to hold together and produce some of the best punk tracks around.

One track in particular, 'The More I See' though, saw the band slimmed down to just Cal and Rainy and they still managed to get to number 3 slot in the indie charts. This track, which showed a more metal side to the band, struggled to appease the mass of Discharge fans that perfervid their more hard-core sound of their earlier releases.

With a running time of just over 75 minutes this 2 -disc set is a must for all punk fans new and old.

This release just goes to show how strong and influential a punk band could be, having had a vast majority of their singles covered by Metal bands.
