"2"

Deep Reduction

The follow up to their impressive '99 debut again finds addition by way of "reduction."

The band, a product of Radio Birdman guitarist Deniz Tek and the rhythmic rust of the Stump Wizards, at first made for an astrally vivid combination built on hard Rocking sharp angled principles and have now one bettered themselves with the recruitment of original
'Birdman vocalist Rob Younger.

Fans will immediately embrace this latest merging on the shrewdly titled "2," an album that meets the rigid specs of their first while adding in layers of "Rust Never Sleeps" and
"Waiting For The Sun" atmosphere compliments of the Younger style of Morrison-esque vocal fx.

The end result is somewhat subdued in a mild-mannered mellowing combination of seventies' era Guitar Rock big on effect, low on key, ahead on principle and high on Pop harmony.

A shift from first to second never felt so smooth and the transition from there to here well employed by this Birdman/Wizards hybrid.

More of The Doors than The Damned but both present in spirit and neither shying away from the damaging effects of the SPF factor.
