Dead Empty

Here's my suggestion for the people that have no say… shut up and listen!

This album's for you… really. They call themselves "Dead Empty" though it's doubtful they drummed that up from a lack of enthusiasm as this latest slab of punk rock fare is raw evidence of… and how about a little salt for that soon to be opened wound you've been sporting all this time?

"Destroyed" captures… think about any hard core barroom drinking anthem you've ever heard, magnify the riffing times ten and step to the back of the room-that's about where it lies here!

Great tune-my pick for first single, and hey, they mention the name of the album in the middle of the lyrics… yes indeed, born of hate and scorn and loving every fucking minute of it! So what do we got here with these guys from-well first I was gonna say Wisconsin cause one of the guys is holding a Pabst Blue Ribbon and so… but nope, looks like Pennsylvania all the way-bunch of mean looking dudes too-and this Denis Leary look-alike to boot!

Most of what we got here is ranting, rising not too far above a pretty low ended production, and everything from us, those poor unfortunates the world gave up on the minute we were born-"Dead Empty," "Black Tar Silver Spoon," and hey, even the rich have their trouble coping right?

And then there's the almost "melodic" of the bunch here with "Give Us a Reason" which questions death and damnation as being little more than idle chatter.

The end of "civilization" arrives in "Movin' On" which also incidentally cops a Motorhead riff during the verses!

This booming recurrence that is Dead Empty came from what was left of the former Bomb Squadron among others-which you have to admit was just a too cool name-and this, a seven song scorcher that serves as the perfect release for psychiatric stress-cases tired of towing the line on the way to getting their just due!
