The CD opens with 'A Courting Rhythym', an excellent track with Lots of changes in mood ,direction and tempo. The drumming is excellent as well as the keyboards. From the liner notes Hal says "The title refers to the idea of courtship as adance, or in my case, a kind of loutish, ungainly prancing about" and that is exactly the feel you get from this track.

'The Writhen Plain' is a great track and has a darker feel to it.

'Walking With Don' is a great track and one dedicated to the late Don Ellis.

The fourth track is 'Ether Frolic' is a great track with nice changes in mood, direction and tempo.

'End Of The Beginning' is an excellent track with great keyboards and drumming.

'Country Wedding', nice track written by Hal as a gift to his wife, Mary.

'Seafarer's Panties', is an excellent track.

'Snick-A-Snee' another great track.

'God's Lunch Box', excellent track full of twists and turns. Very Avante Garde.

'Forever Again' another great track.

The final track is '48 Hornstrasse' probably the most commercial track on the album. But still a great track with aome agrressive drumming and a darker middle section.

This is a BRILLIANT album from the Darling brother's. What you have here is a CD full of original tracks. The music is complex and exciting to listen to. The quality of the musicianship is superb with someone who cares about the music being produced. This CD has everything. lots of mood, subtlety, changes in direction and comes highly recommended.
