"Now You've Put Your Foot In It" Conflict |
|
At first listen I don't know what to make of this Stones on acid? A drunken binge and its dire consequences caught inimitably on tape? There's an uncontrollable noise frothing from my speakers and thirty seconds later I'm getting an uncontrollable urge to go primal. I submit to you there's no cause for alarm, just your average everyday Hell on earth and prelude to madness packaged nicely and neatly in one little four song EP. The caustic English combatants shame you for putting your foot in it then they bury your head in it and for a lifetime of some ten minutes you're experiencing the loudest, nastiest, full-fledged ranting this side of an Exploited blarmy army fucking hangover! This one features two new studio tracks, puts it mildly, two inexplicably subdued live ones, firearms, foul-mouthed explosives, freedom fighting and fuck everything! There's no denying their place in the annals of anarchic Punk history-this sounds as good today as they did eighteen years ago and if it's any indication, their ten year absence did nothing to quell their original charm.
