Their name is derived from an ancient Greek monster and even when you know the correct pronunciation it's not something that's easily recalled anyway their music however is something you won't soon forget-relentlessly pounding, fearsome and ferocious, monstrous in their intent to incite fear while inviting listeners to explore the maddening mind of humanity Typical of Roadrunner's roster
of talent, Chimaira fits well beside the already established breed
of Nu-Metal specialists-churning riffs, machine-like percussion and a
lifetime's "Pass Out of Existence" has a message buried within its new age intensity-misery and strife shall prevail before all else warning, do not set about to listen unless you're already in a foul mood. While most of the tunes embody similarly drawn techniques bore of technical precision, Grind-Core simplicity, vicious vocal urgings and subtle electric elements, most of the songs open differently, making them easy to identify, a welcome relief by the time you're quickly sucked into this vacuum of immense pressure that swallows your senses, increases your heart rate and numbs you at the extremities. Elements of Fear Factory, Slipknot, and Machine Head all present themselves in this fourteen-song derivative of a deafening explosion and the ensuing nerve-deadening carnage that's left behind.
