Celtic Legacy (11:51) 9. Waterfront (5:56) The first track 'From The Plains',is a nice intro to the album. Traditional Irish music with lots of violin, acoustic guitar. I could have listened to a bit more of this. The next track 'Wandering Free', now sets the stall out for the rest of the album. This is a good hard hitting rock song. Good vocals from Tom who sound a bit like Gary Moore and some excellent guitar from Dave. The music is a bit reminiscent of Thin Lizzy. The third track is 'Catch The Wind', an excellent track, which is another good hard hitting rock song. Tom's vocals carry a lot of emotion on this one. There's some nice changes in direction, mood and tempo and an excellent guitar solo from Dave. The next track is 'Rainman', a semi ballad with a wonderful catchy tune. This track reminds me quite a bit of early Wishbone Ash. 'Glen Corr - The Spirit Of The Vagabond', this track to me is in typical Thin Lizzy style. Great rhythm, superb dual guitars. An excellent ryhtm with some outstanding guitar work. The sixth track 'Lost Soul', starts with some nice violin before the guitar riffs come in. This track shows a strong Irish influence. Once again, I would have to say a Thin Lizzy influnce here, good rocking number. 'Shine', starts with some great bass, before some soaring guitar comes in. The vocals at first a fairly quiet, until the whole band comes in. Good catchy chorus. The next track is 'Celtic Legacy' also the name of the band. My favourite track on the album and the longest one too at nearly 12 minutes. A track with lots of Irish influence and I felt a slight Mike Oldfield influence. The track starts off fairly slowly the gradually builds up in mood and tempo. Nice changes in direction. Outstanding guitar work. The final track is 'Waterfront' ,a nice ballad just played on Violin and Piano. Tom's vocal's are quite superb with a lot of emotion. I would have to say that this is a great rock album. one for all hard rock fans especially lovers of Thin lizzy. If this album doesn't get your foot tappin, playing air guitar, then I would suggest you take up listening to some other type of music.
