like Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, God Dethroned, and the like will go crazy
over this! An advanced production thanks to the renowned Peter Tagtren (Hypocrisy) elevates this new release from Carpe Tenebrum, which is ultimately a solo product of Astennu, veteran Black Metal figure, and continues in the direction of the aforementioned acts, taking the Black Metal crusade to even more extreme levels if that's possible. Relying less on Gothic melody or structural breaks, the mood to the music is expectedly dark, the lyrics are beyond recognition and each song just takes off like a bat out of hell. It'll be hard not to get swallowed up in all the electrifying intensity, with "electrifying" being the key word, as at full volume as the case should be, it's like having a swarm of electro-magnetic power rushing through your head, as though you were sucked in by all its energy and becoming one with the music. The only place where you'll find a peaceful CO-existence might be as the eighth and final song, "Dreaded Chaotic Reign" winds down and closes out in a flood of horrific sound effects, and slow, deeply penetrating riffs before you both fade into the blackness!
