"Play With Your Head"

Candy Butchers

"Play With Your Head's" a titillating combination of light-hearted Pop melodies delivered with adult sincerity and child-like exuberance making for a complete record bred of spontaneous eccentricities, sharp angle turns and adult contemporary staying power.

The handiwork of Mike Viola, singer, songwriter, sleep deprived performer and follower of
great detail, heading up his "Candy Butchers" tag, follows up last year's well-received "Falling Into Place."

By continuing similarly and never quite comfortably fitting into one or another and side stepping complacency with a digressive line of songs, Viola belies the traditionally stuffy Pop character with a cagey raucous and Rock looseness, unexpected by usually single minded suit and tie soloist performers.

Imagine a more dynamic Dave Matthews where the songs not only stand on their own but carve out their own unique niche-"Worry My Dome," "Tough Hang," "My Heart Isn't In It"-listener friendly and attention starved without losing their flavor after a few spins.

Grown up, grown out and tastefully textual.
