Bullhorn are a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band from Sweden their
influences range from Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, AC/DC, D.A.D to
the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. Bullhorn play high energy
Rock'n'Roll in a similar style to AC/DC. I have to say that the musicianship
is superb as is the production quality of this CD.
Lasse handles the vocals quite superbly and on a few tracks
sounds very similar to Bon Scott. The two guitarists Jan and
Mats play some terrific riffs and lead breaks and if this album
doesn't get you going nothing will. Jonas and Kenneth
hold everything together with some superb drums and bass.
Apart from the first track 'Ripping It Off' which to me sounds
too much like a AC/DC track (Vocals and Guitar riffs) and I suppose
that's why Bullhorn chose the appropriate title, although i
must say it's still a very good track.
From the secong track onwards Bullhorn settle down into their
own groove and do their own thing.
There are some excellent tracks on this CD 'Black Sun-Hard Rain',
Rocking Is Ma Business', 'Women And Wiskey', 'No (Don't Wanna Dance)'
and my favourite 'Don't Go Changing' which starts with some
nice acoustic guitar before the heavy riffs come in. Lasse's
vocals are a bit more mellow on this track and sings with a lot of
feeling. The keyboards have been used nicely and it remind's me of
the Rolling Stones and contains a superb guitar solo.
Overall, a great album, a must for lovers of high energy rock tracks.
Will also appeal to fans of AC/DC.
Highly Recommended!!!
