Bride of Chucky Soundtrack

Well, the little bastard's back again. Chucky, everyone's favorite run of the mill psycho-killer inhabited doll dressed in pleasant blue suspenders and a boyish smile, has returned for a fourth go-round… and this time he's not alone. He's found himself a blushing blonde bride-who proves to be equally as hellacious as he.

And so you ask, does this mean the film has the usual blood-curdling soundtrack that features many of today's superstar artists doing their interpretations of high quality horror fare?

Why of course. In fact, with the number of major horror flicks released just prior to this past Halloween season, movie-goers can have their pick of the litter of any number of killer soundtracks.

"Bride of Chucky" features fourteen songs by prominent rock heavyweights that fittingly support the scenes of the movie while yet contrasting each other as the soundtrack plays through. Just a taste to look forward to would be White Zombie's "Thunder Kiss '65," and just what would a scary movie s/t be without them? Monster Magnet's eerie "See You in Hell" from their latest masterpiece as well as the rejuvenated Judas Priest doing "Blood Stained," and my, my, how fitting. How good it is to see Bruce Dickinson up there doing "Trumpets of Jericho," a tyrant of a song from his latest "Chemical Wedding" album, as well as "Son of X51" from the resurgent Powerman 5000.

Disappointing were two cuts in particular that actually weren't part of the movie itself, they being "Blisters" by the overrated Coal Chamber and an anticipated and unfortunately disappointing new track from Slayer, "Human Disease." The cover booklet's phenomenal, gathering together a number of cool still shots from the film as well as featuring a collage of the contributing artists in what is naturally their darkest context… but check out the one of Motorhead for a good laugh.
