The title says it all.
This album wasn't just inspired by Mary Jane, this album IS Mary Jane.
A kind of stoner/country metal with heavy hippy influences. Big riffs,
grinding themes, and enough bass to loosen the most constipated bowels,
this is not an album for people who are looking for fancy playing
and great musicianship.
This is also the first album of its kind that I've heard that uses
almost black metal-like vocals - a very interesting mixture. A nice
cover of Black Sabbath's "Under The Sun" is included as homage to
the other possible source of inspiration. A scratch-and-sniff version
of the inlay would have been cool!
