Tenth Dimension

Blaze

Now if I was to mention the name Blaze Bayley to you your reply would probably be along the lines of "oh yeah, I remember him, lead singer with Wolfsbane, great live band never quite made it on record, and oh yeah, his stint with Maiden didn't last long did it, shame really great voice, wonder what he does now".

Well if indeed that is your opinion of Mr Bayley let me enlighten you, after his departure from Maiden, Blaze Bayley went away formed his own band, Blaze (never would have guessed) and released 'Silicone Messiah'. After which the band went on the road and played just about every venue worth playing, which included major festivals and many sold out uk shows.

Now in early 2002 Blaze unleashed their new album "Tenth Dimension" and its very clear from the opening number "Kill and Destroy" that not only are Blaze (and Mr Bayley) are having the time of their lives but are also sticking two fingers up at all those who thought Silicone was just a one off and are making the type of music that they want to play, traditional heavy metal pure and simply and fucking good it is to.

This album simply oozes class from every track just listen to the Machine Head like "Nothing will Stop Me" or the epic "Stranger to the Light" and you will see that Blaze are indeed sharper and meaner than ever before while "Mean to Be" shows Bayley taking his writing talents to new levels while his vocals are quite simply the best of his career so far.

At last we seem to have a british band capable of making quality metal again, its long overdue but well worth the wait, god bless em.
Recommended!.
