Bad for You

B - Movie Rats

A "Rat" by any other name… Up from the underground with designs on spreading their "revolution" upon the unsuspecting clean-cultured inhabitants of a fading alternative world, The B-Movie Rats feature a toxic combination of songs to make you ill-a stench of madness grows and ferments and "Bad for You" rears its ugly head to revolutionize the way rock and roll music's always been meant to be but for the last two decades was always afraid to try.

After '97s "Killer Woman" LP, numerous singles, split LP's and other assorted torment, The 'Rats pounded out this raunchy display of unwelcome medleys-fourteen simply smashing examples of what made hard rock such an uninvited musical entity in the first place-dig through the trash a little bit and sometimes you're surprised at what you'll find!

Led by the lead vocals of "dirty" Derek Christensen, who oftentimes is fighting for his life to rise even half an octave above the concocted swill of rage and thunder storming through this sonic sewer system, there's nothing even remotely resonant around here-"Revolution," "Smoke," "Strut…" persistence in the face of decay!

Like your worst nightmare come to life, these B-Movie cult-crashers lay it out fast and loud… vindictive rock and roll vermin apparently laying dormant since '73 waiting for just the right moment to infiltrate and infest the city streets and send the MTV generation lunging for the remote and screaming in terror.

This is not catchy, possesses not one pop hook nor will it deliver a feeling of goodwill between you and your fellow man-every disc does come with a cool 'Rats tattoo however, to be displayed proudly as you cycle in and out of your own personal rat race.

Get down, get dirty, get hooked… and for all we've been taught that something "bad" is a thing to be avoided, there'll be no dispute from me-"Bad for You"-not for the innocent, those of the faint of heart or a cleansed conscience!
