Atomic Opera are a metal band from Houston, Texas
There are 10 tracks lasting just over 38 minutes on this album and
it seems like Frank Hart is the mastermind behind Atomic
Opera. Frank writes all of the songs with the exception
of a couple that are co-written. Frank also plays Bass, Guitars,
Cello and is also the Vocalist.
Frank's vocals remind me a lot of King's X and I suppose you
could say that the music is in a similar vein. The songs are well
structured with some terrific guitar rhythms and outstanding solo's.
There are also some superb bass lines and Mark handles the
drums superbly. Even though the songs are quite heavy in places ,
there are also strong melodies with plenty of mood and atmosphere.
It was hard to choose a few favourites as they are all excellent.
But 'Make A God', 'God Of Hate', Spirit Of The Age', 'Freakshow'
are all outstanding.
