The opening track 'What If' has a lot of heavily distorted guitars, this track reminds me quite a bit of Alice In Chains, but is mainly due to the vocal delivery. Ther's also an excellent guitar solo on this track.

The next track is 'The Only One', this is more os a mellow spacerock/psychedelic affair. Very simple drums ans percussion with some nice keyboard work over the top.

The third track 'I Move On Wheels' is a much heavier track with heavily distorted guitars, the middke section features narration that sounds computer generated a bit similar sounding to that of Stephen Hawking, then it's back to the heavy guitar sound.

The next track is 'Ascension Day', this is a nice mellow track with an outstanding guitar solo.

'Northern Lights', synth driven spacerock track, similar to what Hawkwind were doing in the 70's. here's also some nice synth effects which add to the song.

The sixth track is 'Preoccupied', this is another track that reminds me a little of Alice In Chains, there are some nice changes in direction though especially when Aaron comes in for his guitar solo.

The next track is 'Stalking Horse', this is mainly an acoustic track, with a fairly slow tempo. There are some nice keyboards too and for me this is very reminiscent of what David Bowie was doing during his Space Oddity period, this song has that kind of feel to it. Later on in the track there are some nice keybaords and acoustic guitar work.

'Placebo', this track has a strong drum rhythm and a strange keyboard arrangement, it's still quite a catchy tune though and there's some nice atmospheric/spacey keyboards in the middle.

The ninth track is 'British Grenadiers', boy, Adrian sure shows a lot of different styles on this album, now this track shows quite a Doors influence, Adrian is obviously a very versatile musician and this shines throughout the album.

The next track 'Mongrel' starts with some atmospheric keyboards and nice percussion, the vocals have an echoey effect on them and this give the song and eerie feeling, shortly after there's a change in direction and the guitars have a slightly heavier sound to them and during the chorus the vocals are more mellow. This track also finishes with a superb guitar solo.

'In The Gutter', this is a fairly mellow track with some soaring guitar, but at the same time is quite melodic, the vocals are soft throughout and there's also a nice chorus with vocal harmonies.

The final track is 'One Last Drink For The Band', starts with some nice blues guitar, the vocal delivery if fairly mellow and this is another quite catchy tune and chorus. This is quite a long track at just over 8 mins, so there are quite a few changes in direction, mood and tempo along the way. There's also an excellent guitar solo too.

Displaced Person is an album with progressive/psychedelic rock elements, full of mellow sounds with a slight Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here' kind of sound scattered throughout. The album is very easy listening with lots of interesting uses of effects and sounds, and giving quite a lot of texture to the overall feel, at times the vocals seem almost superfluous as the music is well structured.
