Do you all have day jobs and if so what do you do ?

Pascal is studying to be a school teacher,
Patrick teaches history in a high school,
Luc works for the provincial government
and Martin is a foreman in a snowboard shop.
Playing our music full time is what we all hanker for.
How did the band get together ?

We've known each other since childhood, and one day we decided to start a band and here we are today...Hanker !

What are your musical backgrounds ?

We all learned by ourselves. We've always played with a critical ear and with our hearts and guts.

What kind of music do you like to listen to when your not playing ?

Just to name a few ; Helloween, Metal Church, Deep Purple, old Iron Maiden, Rush...and of course Hanker.

What do you do to relax ?

Sit around together, have a beer and talk about the good and sometimes strange things that have happened at our shows.

If you had the chance to jam with any band, who would that be ?

For the four of us, together we wouldn't mind jamming with Helloween, individually Patrick would jam with Iron Maiden, Luc with Rush, Pascal with Kiss and Martin with Yes.

Whats the best thing that has ever happened to you ?

We cannot think of just one in particular, but some of the best things that have happened to us are our manager Réjean Garon, who truly believes in us and loves what we do, also there are Pierre and Steve Bégin, who run the « Official Hanker Home Page » (these guys are just incredibly supportive of Hanker), and of course, all our fans !

Whats the worst thing that has ever happened to you ?

The worst thing is that we haven't been on a world tour yet...we're Hankering to go on one soon !

Who writes the songs ?

Most of the songs are written by Pascal and Patrick, but a lot of times the songs come alive when all 4 of us work on them.

Where do you get your Inspiration from ?

We don't really know where it precisely comes from, but it comes naturally.

who thought of the bands name and how did you choose it ?

Pascal was with a friend of his and opened up a dictionary, seeing the word « Hanker », he read the definition and ever since that day it has been the official band's name.

Which are your personal favorite songs and why ?

We have many personal favourite songs, it would take up a whole interview to discuss them. But let's say ours rank among the best ! Ha ! Ha ! Ha !

Do you play many gigs and if so where ?

We are playing in the Quebec City area for now, but we cannot wait to go overseas and play for you, guys !

What is your view of the music scene in Quebec ?

The music scene in Quebec sucks !

What bands would you say have had most influence on you ?

Bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metal Church, Deep Purple, Kiss, Helloween and others from the Metal Scene in the 80s.

What are your plans for the future ?

A third studio album, a live album and hopefully a European tour.
