Hi and a big
Welcome to STORMBRINGER...
Stormbringer came about because of my love for music... It all started about 1965, when I started listening to music with a different attitude, I had always been a keen music fan, but mainly what I would class as Pop, (we all have to start somewhere), but looking back, the charts where different in those days and a lot of stuff that got into the charts was quite good (The Beatles, The Kinks, 10CC, and lots more). Then bands like DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH, ROXY MUSIC, DAVID BOWIE, FAMILY, JIMI HENDRIX were coming onto the music scene, all my friends were really into disco, but I was looking for something different. I started to buy albums, and very quickly my collection took off. Bowie, Yes, Genesis, Hendrix, Family, and from then on I was hooked... Unfortunately I have had times when I have had to sell some of my collection, which I now regret, but due to circumstances beyond my control, it was my only option... Nowadays, my collection is now mainly CD's, I still think that the sound quality of Vinyl is better than CD's, but I suppose they are more convenient and you don't have to put up with the annoying pops and crackles (as much as you cared for your vinyl records, after a while, pops and crackles always appeared from somewhere) Because my taste in music is very varied, I decided that I would like to do a website which catered for Heavy metal, Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and Metal... Stormbringer is normally updated every sunday and you can if you wish join my mailing list, this will inform you when Stormbringer has been updated...
